– President-elect Barack Obama is resigning his U.S. Senate seat as of Nov. 16, leaving it to Democratic Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich to name a replacement for the two years left in the term. One of the most likely appointees is U.S Representative Jesse Jackson Jr, a seven-term congressmen and son of Rev. Jesse Jackson.
